FAMILY FILMS: THE MOST ATTRACTIVE MARKET SPACE IN ENTERTAINMENT
Threshold has a deal with Universal Studios to produce 12 computer animated movies for the direct-to-DVD family market. Each film will be based on pre-existing famous intellectual properties and will be distributed on a worldwide basis through Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Created as a joint venture called Tinseltown Toons, Threshold has secured the funding for a minimum of twelve direct to video animated titles. The first two films being produced under that deal are based on two of the most famous toy properties in the world: LEGO and BIONICLE.
